Job Summary

Responsible for cutting, grinding, mixing, and inventory of molding regrind and raw materials.

Essential Functions

Job Performance

• Performs functions per product specifications and/or requirements, according to the work order traveler.

• Maintains separation of materials before and after grinding

• Labels ground material for identification

• Pulls material from silo’s and assists in unloading bulk trucks into silo’s

• Mix regrinds with raw material at required percentage not to exceed 20%

• Will be required to clean shredder/grinder and vacuum dust collectors

• Work with molding scheduler to maintain inventory of regrind and raw materials

• Ability to calculate math and record accurate information to the molding scheduler.

• Must be able to obtain/retain a FM Forklift Certification.

• Will be required to operate a molding machine and/or work secondary as needed.

• Maintains safe and clean working environments by complying with procedures, policies, and safety regulations

• Meets or exceeds established manufacturing goals.

• Maintains acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality.

• Must adhere to company policies and procedures

• Must be willing to accept and receive supervision, instructions, and perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Entry Level position, 1 year manufacturing experience preferred. Needs to be self-motivated to work without constant supervision. Good Math skills required, must pass a basic math test. Forklift experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to adequately work with appropriate tools and equipment, constantly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• Must have Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, strength and grip requirements necessary to frequently manipulate and/or lift products weighing up to 40 lbs. Frequently required to stand/walk. Frequently required to use step ladders/raised platforms. Frequently required to sit, climb on and off Forklift. Adequate mobility to control a powered forklift.

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Must wear Safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection must always be worn in designated areas

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment; heat and cold temperatures vary according to season.

This position is considered a safety sensitive position due to the manufacturing environment, operating moving equipment, and operation of a forklift traffic.
