Job Summary
Responsible for all phases of molding process and molding machine set-up and operation.
Hours:
A Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:30AM - 4:00PM
B Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:45PM - 2:15AM
Pay: A Shift- $17.71 B Shift- $18.01
Essential Functions
Job Performance
• Follows established processes and work order specifications to meet or exceed established manufacturing goals.
• Understands and applies advanced molding techniques.
• Evaluates mold set-ups and performs other troubleshooting activities.
• Performs initial set-up and operation of molding machines, according to work order specifications, including new products and sample runs.
• Evaluates machine maintenance requirements, performs minor maintenance on machines and equipment, or reports machine and mold deficiencies as required.
• Evaluates and obtains material and resource requirements.
• Operates molding machine controllers and temperature controllers.
• Removes parts from machine, removes sprues, gates, flash, or other post molding operations as required.
• Understands and applies visual inspection to verify conformity of product.
• Accepts or rejects products in the absence of quality control associate.
• Responsible for non-conforming products in area.
• Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a clean condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintains acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and instructions.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and 3 years related experience or STP. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirement. Must be able to read, understand, and communicate using the English language. Must have the ability to write and effectively present information.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to adequately work with appropriate tools and equipment, frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must have Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, strength and grip requirements necessary to frequently manipulate and/or lift products weighing up to 40 lbs. Frequently required to stand/walk, frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must wear Safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection must always be worn in designated areas.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment; heat and cold temperatures vary according to season.
This position is considered a safety sensitive position due to the manufacturing environment, moving machinery and forklift traffic.
