Job Summary

Responsible for removing and installing molds in injection molding machines, along with performing minor preventative maintenance on machines as needed. 

Hours:

A Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:30AM - 4:00PM

B Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:45PM - 2:15AM

C Shift: Sunday-Wednesday 8:30PM - 7:00AM

Pay: Starts off at $19.34

Essential Functions

Job Performance

· Participates in team and quality activities.

· Set-up and remove tools from the injection molding machine as required.

· Hooks up molds for electrical, hydraulic, and water requirements per work order.

· Performs visual inspection during the task.

· Make minor adjustments to equipment and processes as required.

· Communicates specific set-up requirements of molds to Process Engineer.

· Evaluates functionality of mold and troubleshoots as necessary.

· Adjusts part markings, such as date clocks, part numbers, and revisions, as applicable, that are inserted in the molds.

· Follows conforming tagging procedures.

· Performs mold protection and Storage activities.

· Works with appropriate tools and equipment.

· Operates an overhead crane to move and set molds.

· Must be able to drive a forklift and obtain FM Forklift Certification.

· Maintains safe and clean working environments by complying with procedures, policies, and safety regulations

· Meets or exceeds established manufacturing goals.

· Maintains acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality.

· Must adhere to company policies and procedures

· Must be willing to accept and receive supervision, instructions, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cranes, forklifts, and mechanical devices. Must be able to read, understand and communicate using the English language. Must have the ability to write and effectively present information. Basic mechanical experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to adequately work with appropriate tools and equipment, constantly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

· Must have Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, strength and grip requirements necessary to frequently manipulate and/or lift products weighing up to 40 lbs, and climb under and/or on top of molding machines. Continuously required to stand/walk. Frequently required to use step ladders/raised platforms

· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

· Must be able to frequently climb on and descend from a forklift.

· Must wear Safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection must always be worn in designated areas

· Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, heat and cold temperatures vary according to season.

This position is considered a safety sensitive position due to the manufacturing environment, operating moving equipment, working on elevated surfaces, and above machines, and forklift traffic.
