Industrial Maintenance

Job Summary

Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production, buildings and grounds, and maintaining support equipment.

Essential Functions

    Job Performance

·   Participates in team and quality activities.

·   Orders parts when required.

·   Completes work orders in a timely manner.

·   Performs preventative maintenance functions as required.

·   Maintains company-required maintenance records for equipment.

·   Must maintain work area and equipment in a clean condition and complies with OSHA Safety and Health regulations.

·   Travels as required, to complete work assignments. Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet FM's Insurability requirements. Required to obtain a valid DOT Medical Certification.

·   Must be able to obtain FM Forklift certification.

·   Maintains acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality.

·   Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and instructions.

·   Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned and adhering to Company’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED and/or vocational training combined with 3 or more years related industrial maintenance experience required. Skills required are:

·   Must be able to read, understand and communicate using the English language.

·   Must have strong mechanical background and skill set

·   Must be knowledgeable troubleshooting & repair of industrial hydraulic components such as pumps, valves & cylinders.

·   Must have industrial electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair experience.

·   Must have the ability to read and understand industrial equipment electrical and hydraulic blueprints/schematics.

·   Welding/fabrication along with facility maintenance a plus.

Must provide own tools    

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

      Physical Requirements

·   Ability to adequately work with appropriate tools and equipment. Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk and hear.

·   Must have Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, strength and grip requirements necessary to frequently lift products weighing up to 50 lbs and/or manipulate products up to 80 lbs.  Regularly required to stand,  Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

·   Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines, and in close quarters to perform repair work.

·   Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

·   Must wear Safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection must be worn in designated areas at all times.

·   Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, heat and cold temperatures vary according to season.

This position is considered a Safety sensitive position due to manufacturing environment, moving machinery and forklift traffic.
