Molding Machine Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for operating molding machines and performing insert, assembly, secondary, inspection, packing, and production documentation activities. Ensures parts meet quality requirements and are produced according to work instructions and product specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate molding machines according to work instructions and product requirements.
• Remove molded parts from machines and perform trimming, gate removal, flash removal, and other post-molding operations as re-quired.
• Perform insert installation, assembly, packing, and other secondary operations according to work instructions and product require-ments.
• Inspect parts and monitor production processes to verify conformance to quality requirements.
• Complete required production, quality, and operational documentation accurately.
• Use production tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify and report quality, equipment, or production issues to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 

Qualifications

Required - Ability to read and follow work instructions, product specifications, and production documentation. Ability to perform visual inspection of molded parts and accurately complete production records. Ability to safely use production tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 Preferred - One year of manufacturing or production experience. Experience operating molding equipment or performing assembly, inspection, packing, insert installation, or other secondary manufacturing operations. 

Additional Requirements

Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work flexible hours as required; willingness to perform other job-related duties as assigned. This position is designated as safety-sensitive due to operation of production equipment and work within an active manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently use hands and arms to handle parts, tools, and equipment, and regularly bend, stoop, reach, and lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Requires visual ability to inspect parts and identify defects. Safety glasses with side shields are required in production areas and hearing protection is required in designated areas. Work is per-formed in a manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary with seasonal conditions.
